1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when you use the App, such as text you submit for translation, voice audio you submit for translation, image content you submit for translation, and feedback you send us (including optional contact details, if provided). We also collect certain information automatically, such as device identifiers, network and usage signals, and diagnostic or crash information needed to operate, secure, and improve the App. If we enable notifications, we may process device tokens to deliver them.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to provide the App, process translations, maintain and improve performance, protect against abuse and security risks, respond to requests, and perform analysis to improve product quality and user experience.
Specifically for translation requests, submitted text, voice audio, and image content may be processed by third-party AI providers to generate translation output and apply safety controls.
3. How We Share Information
We share information with service providers that help us operate the App, including AI processing providers, hosting providers, and diagnostics or feedback providers. For translation requests, we share submitted text, voice audio, and image content with Anthropic and Google (Gemini) to process translations and apply safety checks. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information to comply with law or protect our rights and safety. Where provider controls are available, we configure providers not to use your submitted content for model training.
4. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and improve the App, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Retention periods may vary based on data type, system design, and service provider policies. Data may be deleted or de-identified when no longer needed, and some records may be retained longer where required or permitted by law.
Chat history is stored locally on your device and is managed by your device and app lifecycle settings.
Third-party AI providers process request data according to their own retention and deletion policies and contractual terms with us.
5. Managing Your Data
You can request access or deletion of your information by emailing [email protected]. You can stop collection by uninstalling the App and can control microphone, camera, and notification permissions in your device settings.
You can stop sending translation content to third-party AI providers by not submitting translation requests.
6. Security
We use encryption in transit (TLS) and maintain reasonable safeguards to protect information. No system is completely secure.
7. International Users
Our servers are primarily located in the United States, but your information may be processed in other locations where we or our service providers operate.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. We may provide additional notice for material changes.
